Tackling debt head-on: New kiosk installed at Skills Enterprise through groundbreaking partnership

Combating
the crisis
At Skills Enterprise, we understand that financial hardship and digital exclusion often go hand in hand. Over the past year, through our Trust for London-funded welfare benefits
project, we supported hundreds of local residents to access the support they deserve. But we also saw something alarming: a rising number of users facing serious debt problems, with little access to safe, free, and trustworthy advice.

We knew we had to act
That’s why we’re proud to announce the installation of a Debt Free London advice kiosk at our centre - a powerful new tool in the fight against poverty and financial exclusion in
Newham.

This achievement is the direct outcome of our commitment to long-term support. As our
project with Trust for London concludes, this kiosk ensures we continue to offer essential services to those most in need - particularly those who are digitally excluded, lack confidence to seek help online, or are overwhelmed by money worries.

Why This Visit Matters
For people already struggling with digital skills, debt can feel like an inescapable trap. They may not know where to turn, who to trust, or how to begin. This kiosk provides a simple, private, and direct way to connect with qualified debt advisors from Debt Free London - right from our community centre.

Whether it’s rent arrears, utility debt, credit card stress, or Council Tax issues, this new
service helps residents take control of their finances with dignity and confidence.

Stronger Together
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without our strong partnerships. We extend
heartfelt thanks to Trust for London for enabling us to support hundreds of residents
through welfare advice - and to Debt Free London for helping us take this legacy forward with action, innovation, and impact.

This kiosk means sustainability, empowerment, and hope - a tangible outcome of a project that is leaving a lasting legacy in Newham.

A new tool in the fight against poverty

Whether it's rent arrears, utility debt, credit card stress, or Council Tax issues, this new service helps residents take control of their finances with dignity and confidence.

A Debt Free London advice kiosk is now installed at Skills Enterprise, built on our partnership with Trust for London.
